Ticket hunt again

Two weeks ago we found ourselves outside the Globe Arena, waiting for the ticket sale for the next Bruce Springsteen tour to take place.

Johanna was first on the spot, Thursday morning she showed up, camera in hand to capture people in line, queing for tickets. On Friday morning Ingela showed up and the last 24 hours we did a lot of filming also. Olle Sjöström was our talented sound tecnichian once again, he had helped us during the summer when we did an interview with Niklas and Mattias. We have been filming on two occasions earlier this year, first we met Inger and Dan again, and then Niklas, Mattias and Michel who joined us for the last part of the second shoot.

The tickets were released on Saturday September 1st and we got a lot of good material when we filmed and took stills. Ingela has put together a short trailer which will be showed during the Umeå Film Festival next week, where Igela also will talk about the making of the documentary thus far. We hope that will bring a lot of attention and hopefully some sponsoring to our film.

We're also planning for some sort of party for the fans after the Springsteen concert that will take place at the Globe on December 10th. And we're of course looking forward to the release of the new Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band album "Magic" that will be released in October. (The US release date is set for October 2nd, the swedish one will probably be October 3rd.)

In my book of dreams

It's been a while since the last report. A lot of things has happened, I feel a bit embarrased that I haven't written a single line about Mission:project, and all that I've learned during the sessions at Kamera&Bild.

To make a long story short, we met five times during the spring and had discussions about our various projects with Olof Glemme, teacher in Photography at Konstfack and Anna Clarén, teacher at Nordens Fotoskola Biskops-Arnö. We showed our pictures to them, got comments and advise how to proceed, and talked a lot about how to finish a project. It was very helpful, especially the comments from the mentors, but everybody helped to push one another and we all made great progress.

I have somefew chapters left to write, some more pictures to take, but the book is on it's way. The layout and the editing is in progress, but the difficulties lies in how to find the money to print it. Should I try to get the book accepted by a publisher or should i print it myself?
